“Renovating No. 16 has been a labour of love and a passion project that made us leap out of bed every day. Every room started out as a blank canvas. And we took great delight in painting it with imagination.’

Studio 16 : A roomy and versatile space

The heart of the home. Characterised by simplicity, symmetry and elegance. Studio 16 opens up onto a lush garden. It’s accentuated by the abundance of natural light. Floor to ceiling windows and mirrored storage that bounce light around and dramatically open up the space. Living room and dining room. Breakfast bar and cocktail bar. A showcase delicately curated with understated designer furniture. Art adorns the walls. While a seamless mix of accessories from an array of craftsmen, artisans, brands of distinction, punctuated with pieces from abroad, form an intrinsic part the décor.

The Panelled Playroom : An understated statement room

Looking out to a mini courtyard, the Panelled Playroom takes it’s name from the bright, white panelled walls and the number one fans of this room. La’s three children. However this is no ordinary playroom. Minimalism meets elegant grandeur. There’s hint of old school vibe. A touch of hotel-chic lobby. The draw of the marble fireplace. A play-me white piano and a push-me original Silvercross pram. And if you look to the ceiling – a giant rose creates a dramatic focal point of period authenticity. The beauty of this room is it can transform into a studio for shoots or a pop-up for shopping.

The Pyjama Lounge : The chill out and chat zone

A deliciously inviting conversation area. Perfect for connecting and brainstorming in lose yourself pinker-than-pink sofas, you want to sink into and never get out of. A cocoon characterised by playful touches and an effortless but cosy minimalism that says ‘stay a while and linger a little longer’. The Pyjama Lounge is a space that lends itself to story telling, reminiscing, planning and sharing dreams, desires, goals and achievements.

The Pool

Whatever the weather, an indoor-outdoor contemporary pool awaits you downstairs. The final piece of the jigsaw that completes the family home. The super large sliding glass wall opens up onto a courtyard with stairs that lead to a lush landscaped garden that mirrors the seasons. This means there’s an abundance of natural light making the pool yet another room to hire. Perfect for poolside photo shoots. Just the ticket for anyone looking for a pool scene to call their own.

Beanbag Basement : Downstairs retreat

Leave your thoughts at the top of the stairs. The Beanbag Basement doesn’t take itself too seriously. It resonates echoes of fun & laughter. A place to be crafty. Or creative. Put up a flip chart. Brainstorm. Mastermind. Or turn it into a dream space for relaxation and tranquillity. Multi functional. With a sense of calm, echoes of Africa and hints of a fern filled conservatory.  Unwind. Rejuvenate. Dip in the pool for a swim. Live in the moment and make time for Yoga, Mindfulness or Meditation. Time out in the Beanbag basement is always time well spent at No. 16. With a gang ready to play.
